Steven E. Lacoste

Steven E. Lacoste is a former Environmental Manager for major builders of government and commercial marine vessels with 18 years of experience, a former Asbestos Abatement Supervisor, and a former environmental consultant.  He has participated on state and federal regulatory development committees and has represented his employers, and in some instances the shipbuilding industry, before the environmental regulatory agencies of Louisiana, Texas, and Mississippi, as well as EPA Region IV and EPA Headquarters.  Among the issues he has advised clients on are air permitting, water permitting, onsite remediation, waste accumulation, pollution prevention planning, emergency response planning, and waste/emission/discharge minimization and control. Regarding occupational diseases, he is particularly familiar with the industrial and commercial use of many toxic substances, especially asbestos.
